I have a confession! I'm a much different mom than I was 6 years ago when I began feeding Camden (my oldest) real food. I lovingly made ALL of his food myself. It was fun! I was excited. He was greedy. All in all, it was a win-win. But then numbers 2, 3, & FOUR came along and I was like, "Woah! So this is #MultipleKid life?"
And so here I am with 4 kids and a very humbled perspective on life. Things are just plain HARD at times and creating every meal from scratch is just NOT on my to-do list. Feeding them healthy options is though!
So whether you have 1, 2, 4 or 6 kids, it's never too late to start offering healthier options. My honest advice is to start early! Like first foods as an infant early. I really attribute my 6 year old's love for food and trying new things to what I exposed him to early on.
I mean I had the kid eating buckwheat pancakes with no syrup! Imagine how dry those were (yuck!). LOL!
Here's a quick video of my kid's first foods... (Sorry Carter, I don't have a video of you. 4th kid problems lol)
